Baseball

America’s favorite pastime isn’t the same as watching it over a TV. If you’re a baseball fan, we don’t need to tell you how much more fun watching a live game can be.

Be it the New York Mets vs. Dodgers or the Boston Red Sox vs. the Cardinals, the games have lively energy and are always full of suspense. And you never know, the next one might be just around the corner at a stadium near you.

What’s Baseball All About?

Walt Whitman once said about baseball, “It’s our game.” And it has indeed remained the game that rules America’s heart ever since it originated. If you’re new to the game and don’t know it that well, here’s what you need to know:

Each team in the game has a total of 9 players. Teams take turns batting and fielding. The team that bats have to strike the ball out of the field and run around the field on a diamond-shaped track with white squares on each end of the diamond.

If a player completes a run on the track, they score a run for their team. The team that manages to score the maximum runs at the end of all the innings wins.

The game is so popular within the US that today, it has various museums and shrines dedicated to it. The most famous of these is the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
