Mona Lake Productions is pleased to announce that a very special concert, “A 50th Anniversary Tribute to the music of the Beach Boys” will take place at the Frauenthal Theater on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 7:30 PM.

The beach party, the cars, the sun, surfing, the endless summer...this is what the Beach Boys music is all about. They have been the California ambassadors, everywhere on the planet, for the last five decades. During the summer of 1998, six artists grabbed their instruments and talent to put together "The ultimate tribute to The Beach Boys" and called themselves The BEACH BUMS. The goal of the show is to recreate the magic and the essence of the 60's on the California beaches.

The vocal match of this tribute band creates a real sense of seeing the Beach Boys in concert. The magic starts when The Beach Bums, dressed and performing exactly like The Beach Boys in their 60's show with precision singing of over thirty Beach Boys original hits. Capturing a full history of the band, this tribute concert includes songs from “Little Deuce Coupe”, “Little GTO”, “Surfin’ USA”, “Barbara Ann”, “Kokomo” and many more. The BEACH BUMS put on a fantastic show that produces standing ovations and dancing in the aisles wherever they perform.

As a very special addition to this concert, there will be a brief performance by Jake Slater, Michigan’s foremost Elvis Tribute Artist. Jake’s special appearance is a “teaser” to promote Mona Lake Production’s upcoming New Year’s Eve dinner-concert show. Tickets will go on-sale for the New Year’s show at this Beach Boys Tribute Concert.

All proceeds from this concert will go to United Way of the Lakeshore to benefit their new Human Services Center Capital Campaign.
