This modern adaptation of a classic Greek tragedy, tells the story of Antigone who learns that her brothers Eteocles and Polynieces have both died in battle. Creon, Antigone's uncle, now ruler, refuses to bury Polyneices, who he believes was a traitor. In an act of defiance, Antigone buries her brother, is caught and locked away to only take her own life. Creon's son Haemon, who loves Antigone pleads with Creon to release her. Creon finally relents only to find her dead. Out of despair, Haemon and Creon’s wife kill themselves, and Creon is left behind with nothing but sorrow and regret.
